Perimenopause crept in slowly, with symptoms piling up one by one—aching joints, weight gain, feeling flat, mood swings, brain fog—until nothing made sense. My body and mind were changing, and it felt like everything was out of my control.

I tried to blame stress, aging, poor sleep—anything that seemed reasonable. But nothing added up. My energy was drained, my focus was shot, and my mental health was suffering. And no one had answers.

So, I went all in. With nearly 20 years of experience turning complicated science into practical, accessible guidance through my work in education, advocacy, and policy-making, I knew how to break down complex information and make it useful. But this time, I was doing it for myself.

I read, studied, and listened—determined to understand what was happening to me. And that’s when I uncovered a harsh truth: Women aren’t struggling because solutions don’t exist. We’re struggling because the right information was never shared with us.

That’s why I created the 3rd P. I take everything I’ve learned—and continue to learn—about perimenopause and hormone health, combine it with my lived experience, and translate the science into clear, practical guidance and support. For women like mewomen who deserve real answers and real solutions.. 

Today, my focus is on guiding women through this transition. My work is about helping women make sense of what’s happening in their bodies—decoding the hormonal shifts, understanding the science, and using that knowledge to make informed decisions, meaningful changes, and feel confident in how they care for their health.

Through one-on-one consultations, I offer the clarity and insight women need to navigate perimenopause—including the intense hormonal shifts—while focusing on healthy inputs at midlife and demystifying what hormone therapy is (and isn’t). It’s about being informed, supported, and empowered to live with vitality, strength, and independence for years to come.

the 3rd P is for perimenopause

Puberty, pregnancy, and perimenopause—three defining stages in a woman’s reproductive life. But while puberty and pregnancy are acknowledged and supported, perimenopause remains the neglected 'P'—ignored, misunderstood, and dismissed, despite its powerful impact on the body, mind, and future health.

I created the 3rd P to change that. It’s about disrupting the silence and misinformation around perimenopause and giving women the answers they need. Perimenopause, our hormone health, and hormone therapy shouldn’t be mysteries. And while hormone therapy can be a valuable tool for many women, it’s only part of the equation. Your lifestyle choices as hormones shift are fundamental.

Too many women are left to figure it out alone—because the very people we’ve trusted to support us aren’t prepared. Most doctors aren’t trained to recognize, diagnose, or properly guide women through peri/menopause. Even many gynecologists lack a solid understanding of female hormone health and can’t offer informed guidance on hormone therapy during this stage. No matter where you are in the world, finding real, evidence-based support can feel frustrating—and at times, impossible.

the 3rd P fills the gaps—giving women the knowledge, tools, and support to confidently advocate for their health, navigate perimenopause, and if they chose, approach hormone therapy with clarity—not confusion.
